This series consists of returns of annual reports for the period 1971-1973. The forms included the following sections; details of population in district (Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal), transport, revenue, licences issued, local court processes served or executed, enquiries, extraneous appointments and duties, extraditions from other parts of Australia, suicides, inquests, search and rescue operations, outstanding cases and patrols, police buildings, and other matters of police interest or information. An appendix was added to include any information relating to revenue collected during the financial year. Most of the report sections are noted "included in Darwin Station return" and the returns were signed by the Officer-in-Charge, Criminal Investigation Branch.
